AFTER DEATH... What's Next for Us?

SURPRISE!
Three months later, we received an excited phone call from Mom Stanley: "You won't believe it! The best park model trailer is up for sale! I think it would be perfect for the two of you. Are you interested? If you don't buy it, I will!" We said, "YES, we want it! Please negotiate the deal." We were already leaning in this direction. We were thrilled, not just because we could be near Betty's mom, but because it would be reasonable enough to use part of my inheritance to pay cash for it, eliminating house payments or high rent. We wanted to live "lean and mean" as we approached retirement age.

My brother and sister were very excited to hear we decided to move closer to them. They generously offered to help with moving expenses. We had only one month before we would leave Hawaii so we got busy making arrangements with the moving company and car shipper while we sifted through our belongings. Since the movers charged a dollar a pound, we sold or gave away the things not wanted or worth taking.

One Last Look
Once we had the moving arrangements under control, we decided to spend a few days on the outer islands. I had never seen the volcano eruption on the "Big Island" or the canyons and cliffs of Kauai. So we spent two days on each island to see the sights I had never seen... just in case we never make it back to Hawaii.
