Church Attendance
Church attendance was a given. Being a Baptist minister and Navy Chaplain for many years, he looked forward to going to church. We let him pick the church. He chose a Baptist church that turned out to have a very good awareness of the needs of the elderly. They not only had a lift for his wheelchair, but displayed the words for the songs on a big screen... big enough for him to read from the back of the auditorium. (He couldn't read the hymnal.) He slept through most sermons. When the closing song was sung, he would turn to me and say, "That was good sermon." MORE>
