The Big Adventure-Make Them Comfy

Adjustable Electric Beds
Both of my parents had trouble sleeping flat. They both were diagnosed as having Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). Laying flat would cause the retained fluid to move into their lungs. So we invested in two twin Sealy Adjustable Beds with massage motors and wireless remote controls. That enabled them not only to sleep at an angle at night but they could sit up in bed to watch TV or eat snacks. They both were small people, so we would often find then both sitting up on the same bed watching TV and holding hands.

Although neither had problems with bladder or bowel control, we took the precaution of adding a waterproof mattress cover. Later on, we added an Isotonic Topper Pad from Healthy Foundations for the tops of their mattress that not only repelled moisture but also added to their comfort. These toppers come in extra long versions to fit the Sealy Adjustable Beds that required extra long twin sizes. If my parents had lived longer, we would have invested in Tempur-Pedic Mattresses and Pillows to make them even more comfortable.
